Anderson University celebrates its Centennial in 2011. Activities surrounding the special year in the history of the life of the university actually begin in August of 2010. As a part of this historic time, AU officials visited with a new friend of the university, the legendary Grammy-winning composer and bandleader Johnny Mann, who lives near the campus, about writing a new alma mater for the second century of Anderson University. Mann jumped at the chance and the results are a new song, “The Sounds of Anderson.” The moving tribute to the unique appeal of AU and her students will be heard at official campus events for years to come.
