You'll get a first-class, rigorous education here. We are ranked #21 on U.S. News and World Report's survey of southern Regional Colleges. We also ranked as the second most Up-and-Coming School on the magazine's list of southern Regional Colleges. You can select from a diversity of programs at AU: our nine Colleges and Schools offer 36 majors, 38 concentrations, and 25 minors. In addition, we offer seven master's degrees that range from an MBA to a Master of Music in Music Education. And, through our Graduate School of Christian Ministry, we offer a Doctor of Ministry.
Want to study online? You won't be alone: about 300 students—more than 10 percent of our student body—attend Anderson exclusively as online students. And many on-campus students learn through hybrid courses, downloading lectures and materials online, so class time is spent deepening their understanding through discussion and collaborative learning. At Anderson, you'll also be part of the Mobile Learning Initiative (MLI), in which we provide freshmen with the latest iPad and engage students with courses that use mobile technology to enhance instruction.
A local elementary school principal told us that they prefer to hire teachers educated here. They're great teachers, yes. But they have something distinctive too: they care more. They're more patient with kids—and their parents. They go the extra mile. They live out their faith through their vocation. These professionals were taught and nurtured at Anderson. Whether you want to be a physical therapist or a nurse, an entrepreneur or an interior designer, we will prepare you for the professional and spiritual challenges ahead.
