Emergencies should be reported by calling Ext. 6001 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. After hours, call Ext. 2060.
Emergencies are classified as fires, burning smells, no power, no hot water, no heat, excessive running water, room entry problems, or toilet problems.
Our goal is to provide service within a two hour time frame of all emergency problems. Attempts will be made to deal with all other problems within 24 working hours.
Emergency and After Hour Procedures
For emergency problems after regular working hours, Anderson University maintains a beeper and call out system. This service can be obtained by contacting Security at Ext. 2060. Security has a complete call out list of the serviceman on duty for each week.
Residential Hall Procedures
Anderson University Physical Plant has a policy for your protection and privacy. We will not enter the Residential Halls before 9:00 am each day, unless there is an emergency.
Upon entering the Residential Halls, males will loudly announce our presence and repeat before entering each sector or floor.
Before entering ANY room, we will knock three times and announce our presence.
After 9:00 am, we will proceed to work in order to meet the needs and demands of the university.
If you believe your request for service was not handled in a professional, courteous, and competent manner; please contact the Physical Plant Director or the Residential Living Director.
For Your Information
The Physical Plant transfers from the A/C system to the heating system in October and from the heating system to the A/C system on April 1 each year. Most of the buildings are not designed to run both systems at the same time. All temperatures are monitored by our energy management system for energy efficiency.
