Anderson University and its School of Nursing invite applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Simulation Specialist. The Simulation Specialist reports to and works under the direction of the Simulation Coordinator. Hours may vary based on the scheduling needs of students and faculty.
The specialist will be required to learn the operation, and maintenance of all simulators used in the School of Nursing and will work directly with simulation manikins for the purposes of training, teaching, maintenance, and other potential needs. The specialist will learn to utilize the following software: Learning Space, SimChart, Evolve, and SLS Simulations. The specialist will help manage supplies and organize all simulation training sessions requested by the School of Nursing or outside clinical partners for which training has been scheduled. In addition, the specialist will operate simulations for all clinical groups, setup lab sessions, such as in Skills Lab or the other nursing labs for clinical instructors, help maintain a tidy environment in Simulation, Skills, and nursing labs, organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files of all simulation experiences via computer, and assist with any other needs as necessary.
Experience in simulation, information technology, or healthcare preferred. Background in Emergency or Nursing services is beneficial. Experience outside of healthcare will be considered.
