JSTOR offers academic journals from the humanities, social sciences, science, as well as select monographs and other materials. Although the Thrift Library does not subscribe to JSTOR, free full text access to over 200 journals published before 1923 in the United States and before 1870 outside of the United States, is now available. Scirus
Scirus is an excellent source for acquiring scientific information, especially for interlibrary loan purposes. Scirus contains materials from a number of sources, including journals, databases, and governmental entities. Being associated with Anderson University, students will always have access to information on Scirus from PubMed Central and the Institute of Physics databases, as well as some governmental sources. Full text articles are not availabe to most of the articles available through other databases, like Science Direct; however, by searching Scirus, relevant articles can be identified that can be requested through interlibrary loan. One word of warning: attempting to print an article that it is not available full text through the Anderson University Library will prompt a payment request. Please do not- it can be requested through interlibrary loan at no cost.
