The Anderson University Choral Program
Anderson University’s choral program includes the Chamber Singers and University Choir under the direction of Dr. Richard A. Williamson, the AU Ensemble (gospel choir) under the direction of Leonard Johnson, and the Vocal Lab Choir under the direction of Deedy Francis. Anderson University’s choral groups have achieved recognition at the state and national level. Ensembles have performed by invitation in the Millennium Stage State Days Series at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington National Cathedral, and the conventions of the South Carolina American Choral Directors Association, the South Carolina Music Educators Association, and the South Carolina Music Teachers’ Association. Students in AU’s Choral groups have opportunities for travel and performance abroad. Groups have visited Italy, France, Japan, and England. For more information, visit ensemble links listed below.
