State Approves New Graduate Program in Education
Anderson University received official notification this week that the S.C. Department of Education has approved a new graduate program in its College of Education. Beginning in fall of 2008 the University will offer a master of administration and supervision degree, which is designed to prepare teachers as elementary or secondary school administrators or supervisors. The classes, which will begin in October, will be offered during the evening hours to accommodate working educators’ schedules.
The new master’s program was developed as the result of numerous requests from educators in the community interested in advancing to administrative positions. The new degree program will provide both a theoretical foundation in educational leadership as well as insights into practical application and exercise of leadership in the public schools.
Anyone with questions about the program may contact Dr. Charles Wooten, dean of the graduate program, at 864-231-2142 or email firstname.lastname@example.org, or Ms. Brenda Gray, graduate program coordinator, at 864-231-2143 or email@example.com.
