ANDERSON UNIVERSITY AND ERSKINE COLLEGE
TO COMPETE IN BLOOD DRIVE
Anderson University and Erskine College will square off in a good-natured rivalry for a good cause on February 2 & 5 in the second annual blood drive competition between the schools. Blood will be collected from faculty, staff, and students on both campuses February 2 from 10am–3pm and February 5 from 10am–7pm.
As a result of last year’s competition, 150 pints of blood were collected from both colleges, with 15% of participants donating for the first time. “Bottom line, the winners are the folks who are given life sustaining blood in the community,” says Deb Taylor, director of health services at AU. “We also hope that if folks donate now they will become lifetime donors.”
AnMed Health will present the winner of the competition with a trophy at the Anderson/Erskine basketball game in Due West on February 9.
