Anderson University Continues Spring Concert Tradition
The President’s Gala
President and Mrs. Evans P. Whitaker cordially invite the community of Anderson to enjoy a tuneful celebration of artistic scholarship, capping off the academic year with an evening of festive, uplifting entertainment. Much like Christmas First Night, the President’s Gala seeks to thank the community for its support, giving back to those who have helped create the vibrant arts environment of Anderson University. With an excellent line-up of pops entertainment, this year’s Gala promises to be one of the best and brightest spring events in the community.
The College of Visual and Performing Arts at Anderson University will present this concert featuring the finest performers on campus. The 2nd annual President’s Gala will spotlight the major ensembles of the University’s Music Department: Wind Symphony, Chamber Singers, Choir, and African Drum Ensemble. The event will be highlighted by four, all-new musical theatre numbers from popular productions such as Bye Bye Birdie and Footloose.
The public is invited to the Anderson University campus to come and enjoy the pops concert celebration. The President’s Gala will begin at 8:00 pm on April 17, 2009, in Henderson Auditorium. Call 864-231-2080 for tickets. Admission is free.
