Anderson University Graphic Design Students
Win Regional ADDY Awards
Five Anderson University graphic design students, for the first time in AU history, took top ADDY awards at the regional competition, which was held in March in Austin, Texas. The winners were selected from applicants from hundreds of colleges and universities in a region ranging from Texas to Virginia. The ADDYs, which are sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, honor excellence in advertising in an effort to cultivate high creative standards in the industry.

Anderson University’s winners were as follows: Savannah Jane Springer - Best of Show Award, Gold Award, Silver Award; Andrew Adams - Gold Award, Judge's Choice Award; Angela Cox - Silver Award; Kristina Connell - Silver Award; and Stephanie Wilson - Silver Award.
Two of the students—Savannah Jane Springer and Andrew Adams—will compete at the National ADDY Award Competition in Arlington, Va., on June 6. Dr. Timothy Speaker, assistant professor of art and event coordinator for AU students, said, "Though it is an honor to win at the local level and move on to the regional competition, the fact that AU students won eight ADDY Awards is amazing. To additionally receive the two highest prizes, the coveted Best of Show and the Judge's Choice awards is truly a blessing. The hard work and diligence of our faculty and students at AU prove that we are a world class fine arts department, able to compete with any program nationwide."
