Calvin Miller To Lead Consecration Service For AU Ministry School
David T. Clamp Graduate School of Christian Ministry to Begin with Special Service
Anderson University’s new Clamp Graduate School of Christian Ministry will have its beginning this fall with a special Consecration Service on Thursday, August 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall.
Online Classes will begin Monday, August 10; Campus classes will begin Tuesday, August 11.
The service will feature special speaker Dr. Calvin Miller, academician and one of America’s most accomplished authors with more than 30 books to his credit, including Star Riders of Ren, The Taste of Joy, Transcendental Hesitation, and the best-selling Singer Trilogy. His current book Life is Mostly Edges, is his long awaited autobiography.
The Master of Ministry (M.Min.) degree at AU was created last year with the arrival of Dr. Michael Duduit and received the largest gift in AU history last spring from the estate of David T. Clamp. The $8 million gift, presented at graduation ceremonies in May, was the lifelong dream of Mr. Clamp who desired to see a Graduate School of Ministry at Anderson University.
The Consecration Service will last approximately one hour. According to University President Dr. Evans Whitaker, “This special service will be a time when we celebrate the establishment of the new school and dedicate it to the glory of God.”
The service is free and open to the public.
