AU to Host Anderson
Young Leaders’ Workshop
On Wednesday January
13, 2010, Anderson University will host the Anderson Young Leaders’ Workshop,
with special guest Mark Batterson, founding pastor of National Community
Church, a multi-site interdenominational church in Washington, D.C. Batterson
is also the author of several best-selling books, including In a Pit with a
Lion on a Snowy Day, Wild Goose Chase, and Primal.
The event will
begin at 10 am with AU Campus Worship in Henderson Auditorium, with Batterson
as guest speaker. Following the service, at 11:30 am, Batterson will hold a
question and answer session in the Chapman Multi-Media Room in AU’s Thrift
Library. Lunch will take place at 12:30 in the Vandiver Gallery within the
Library and following lunch, the event will close with remarks by Dr. Fred
Stone, President of the South Carolina Baptist Convention.
The fee to attend
the event is $20, which includes the speakers, lunch, and a copy of Batterson’s
book, Primal. Space is
limited to the first 50 respondents, so individuals interested in attending are
encouraged to register as soon as possible.
