Acclaimed Author to
Speak at Anderson University
One
of the nation’s most noted historians will be on the Anderson University campus
to discuss Civil War history.
Vernon
Burton, author of numerous books on religious, social, and political history,
will address Anderson University students at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 22.
Burton’s widely popular first book was entitled, In My Father’s House Are Many Mansions and
his most recent work, The Age of Lincoln,
was a runner up for the Pulitzer Prize in History for the past year.
Burton is the incoming President of the Southern Historical
Association, which is one of the largest historical associations in the
country.
Anderson University is a comprehensive university affiliated
with the South Carolina Baptist Convention offering bachelors and masters
