Anderson University College of Business to Conduct Annual Mock Interview Event

On Monday, April 26, the Anderson University College of Business will hold a mock interview event in AU’s Thrift Library from 5:30-7:30 pm. During the event, ACCEL students enrolled in the HR Management course at AU will be organized into interview panels; these students will then plan and conduct interviews of the traditional students enrolled in the HR Management course.

By including real Anderson Area companies in the event, students are able to take part in a realistic interview process, requiring them to research the companies, dress successfully for interviews, etc.

“The job market for college graduates is probably the most competitive that it has ever been,” stated Dr. Danny Rhodes, professor of Management at AU. “Students must do everything they can to develop a competitive edge. Enhancing one’s interviewing skills is a great way to get ahead of other job seekers. One of the best ways to improve one’s skills is through practice, and the mock interviews provide a great learning opportunity for students.”

HR professionals from the Anderson business community are invited to serve as evaluators at the event. For more information, contact Dr. Rhodes at 864-231-2086 or drhodes@andersonuniversity.edu.
