Anderson University to Host Free Career Accelerator Event for
Job Seekers
On Tuesday, June 22, the AU Career Center
and the Office of Graduate and Evening Admissions will host a free Career
Accelerator event in AU’s Thrift Library from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. The program will
provide job seekers with an opportunity to learn about college preparation,
financial aid opportunities, interview skills, resume writing, career planning
and more.
The
event will follow the format of a small conference and will begin with
registration at 5:45 pm. There will be a keynote address, hands-on workshops,
networking opportunities, an exhibitor area, and light refreshments and hors
d’ouvres.
"This event is
designed to take people interested in improving their careers from desire to
taking real steps that lead to success,” said Jared Christensen, Director of
Graduate and Evening Programs at AU. “We'll be covering virtually every aspect
of the job selection, interview and hiring process."
The
event is open and free to the public, although space is limited to the first 50
