Anderson University Enrollment Even Higher than Record Projections
Official numbers push university over the 2500 mark for the
first time in history
Now that final enrollment numbers have been
tabulated at Anderson University, the official enrollment number is 2,507
students, an increase of 227 students over last year’s official figure of
2,280.
With
an all-time record number of freshmen and transfers on campus, administrators
expected enrollment to climb near the 2,400 mark, but increases in the
university’s graduate and ACCEL evening programs pushed that number beyond the
2,500 mark, representing an increase in enrollment of ten percent in just one
year.
“Our
enrollment was up significantly in every category,” said University president,
Dr. Evans Whitaker.
The
University’s strategic plan adopted in 2004 called for the university to grow
to 2,200 students by the year 2014. That goal has been eclipsed by 300 - four
years ahead of schedule.
