Anderson University Celebrates Centennial with Pictorial
History
In
conjunction with the celebration of Anderson University’s centennial, historian
Joyce Wood, a member of the Anderson faculty has compiled a new pictorial
history of Anderson University. The book is published by Arcadia Publishing as
a part of its campus history series. While the book will be available at most
bookstores and online retail outlets, it can be easily ordered from the
Anderson University bookstore at www.aubookstore.net or by calling the AU
Alumni Office at 864-231-2102.
The book traces the entire history of Anderson University with photographs from
throughout the 100 years ranging from prominent figures and events to overall
student life and changing styles in the ten decades the university has been in
existence.
Dr. Wood presented the book to Anderson University president Dr. Evans P.
Whitaker during the university’s Centennial Founders Day Convocation on
February 9th. After which, she held a book signing for those wishing to
purchase an autographed copy.
Anderson University is a comprehensive university affiliated
with the South Carolina Baptist Convention offering bachelors and masters
