Anderson University Announces Official Unveiling of AU Center for Cancer Research
The
public is invited to join Anderson University cancer researchers on Friday,
November 18th at 2pm as they officially cut the ribbon on the new Anderson
University Center for Cancer Research. Anderson faculty and students have been
conducting important research in the facility, loaned to AU by AnMed Health,
for several weeks while offices and other areas were being adapted for use by
the Center. Now Anderson University and AnMed officials will join in unveiling
the Center for all to see. Students will be on hand to demonstrate portions of
their research. The Anderson University Center for Cancer Research is located
on Fant Street, across the street from the AnMed Health Medical Center.
The
Anderson University Center for Cancer Research trains undergraduate students in
conducting studies and experiments related to cancer research. These students
will one day become physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists,
physician’s assistants, nurses, etc. It is crucial that they be exposed to
cancer research in order to gain a shared passion for a cure.
Anderson University
