AU Business Students Selected to Attend National Summit in NYC
Anderson University is pleased to
announce that two members of the AU Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team
were selected to attend the 2012 SIFE National Partner Summit in New York City.
Senior
accounting and financial economics student Danielle Atkinson and junior
marketing student Chase Heatherly were selected as two of only 30 SIFE students
nationwide to attend the Partner Summit, held February 7-8. Over 80
student leaders from SIFE chapters across the country applied to participate.
The Partner
Summit, held at the Time Life Building in New York, provided these 30 SIFE
students with the opportunity to connect with one another as well as top executives
from SIFE partner companies. The companies present included Campbell's
Soup Company, Wal-Mart, Unilever, Sam's Club, KPMG, First Quality, and many
more.
Additionally, the
Summit served as a time for these SIFE team leaders to hear about the future
plans of the global organization. Sessions included a panel of
international SIFE representatives, a presentation by the 2012 South Africa
National Champion SIFE Team, and an open forum on the marketing of SIFE through
means of social media.
Atkinson, in her
third year of SIFE, serves as the president of the AU Team. Heatherly's
roles include both secretary/treasurer and project manager for the team's
first-ever international project in Honduras.
Anderson
University congratulates these students for being selected to attend the 2012
SIFE National Partner Summit.
