Federal Credit Union Contributes $20,000 to AU’s Student
Center Campaign
On Monday, February 27, the
Anderson Federal Credit Union (AFCU) presented a $20,000 gift to Anderson
University’s "Crossroads of a Centennial” campaign for a new Student Center. Dr.
Evans Whitaker, AU president, accepted the check from ACFU President Robert
Wilson. The gift comes just three weeks after the launch of the public phase of
fundraising for the $15 million student center and dining commons that will
serve as a centerpiece of the AU campus in future years. Just under half of the
necessary funds for construction were committed during the private phase of the
campaign, which concluded with a public announcement during Anderson
University’s Founders Day on February 8th.
Anderson University is a selective
comprehensive university offering bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees on
campus and online. Anderson is ranked in
the Top Tier of US News and World Report’s America’s Best Colleges and
is on that publication’s list of the 46 “Up & Coming” universities in
America (#1 in The South). It is also
ranked as one of America’s “100 Best College Buys.”
