High School Students, Parents Invited to Explore Academic Life, Scholarships Oct. 19 at Anderson University
From identifying scholarships to discovering what classes students need for their major, prospective students and their parents are invited to learn about Anderson University Oct. 19 at the school.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the university invites prospective students and parents to Trojan Preview, a program designed to give families a comprehensive understanding of academic and social life at Anderson. The event will be held on AU’s campus at 316 Boulevard in Anderson, S.C.
Prospective students and families can register for Trojan Preview at www.andersonuniversity.edu/visit. The event costs $15, which includes lunch for one student and up to two guests.
During Trojan Preview, prospective students and parents can tour campus and hear our deans’ overview of AU’s 36 majors,38 concentrations, and internship opportunities. Students can also attend a class and learn about performing arts, athletics, and other extracurricular programs at AU.
Parents who attend will learn how to help students apply and enroll at AU. Parents also will learn about scholarships and other financial aid at AU, which enabled 99 percent of AU students to receive an average of $23,666 in assistance for the 2012-2013 school year.
In addition to learning about AU’s programs and admission process, prospective students and parents can enjoy lunch on campus. Students will dine in AU’s newest dining hall while parents will have lunch with AU President Evans Whitaker and senior leadership while learning about the school’s vision.
