AU Chamber Singers
The Anderson University Chamber Singers performs sophisticated choral music of all eras. Its approximately 25 members are music majors and nonmajors with advanced musical skills. The Chamber Singers tours throughout the Southeast. The ensemble has been invited to perform at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, and the South Carolina Music Educators' Association convention. It has also served as a demonstration choir for the South Carolina American Choral Directors' Association convention and recorded a demonstration recording for Hinshaw Music.
The primary purpose of the Chamber Singers is to provide a high-level choral experience for advanced students. The group's repertoire also includes songs suitable for worship: hymn arrangements, spirituals, and gospel songs as well as selected classics. Scholarships are available for selected students.
