Practical Ways of Establishing and Maintaining Desirable Vocal Health with Dr. Tommy Watson
This master class will offer instruction and training in vocal health and basic technique. Dr. Watson will teach you the skills to enhance your alignment and posture and give you an opportunity to perform a song of your choice for personal instruction.
Students who want to perform a song for critique should come prepared with 16 - 32 bars of music. Accompaniment will be provided. Students who do not wish to prepare a song may observe the master class.
About Dr. Watson
Dr. Tommy L. Watson, Jr., lyric baritone, serves on the music faculty at The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University as Associate Professor of Music and Founder and Director of Opera Workshop. As a concert artist, Dr. Watson has performed both internationally and nationally at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, USA, and has sung with the major orchestras in South Carolina. A graduate of Anderson University, Dr. Watson earned both a Master of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of South Carolina.
