Spring Orientation FAQs
When is Spring Orientation?
Spring Orientation will take place on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014. Check in will begin at 8:30 a.m. in Thrift Library. Click here for the full student schedule and here for the full parent schedule.
Why should I come to Spring Orientation?
Spring Orientation will help you get off to the right start at AU. You will have the chance to meet new students and get acclimated to the campus environment. You will also learn about some of the unique programs that AU offers and how you can get involved.
Do I need to attend Orientation if I am a commuter student?
Yes. The orientation session will focus on information and school policies that are relevant to all students.
Do I need to attend Orientation if I am a transfer student?
Yes. Even if you have some college experience under your belt, we want to make sure that you know how to be a successful student at AU.
When can I move into my Residence Hall (for on-campus students)?
Students living in the residence halls this semester can move into their rooms on Monday, January 6th between 9:00am and 4:00pm. The check in process begins in the Residence Life Office located in the Village Residence Hall.
What is the cost of Spring Orientation?
The cost to attend spring orientation is $100 and all new students are required to pay this fee. This helps cover some of the costs associated with the program and our Winter Welcome Week.
