Anderson Central and the Registrar
The following Registrar functions are handled in Anderson Central:
  • Transcript requests
  • Enrollment/Degree verifications
  • Address/Name changes

Instructions for Requesting a Transcript
Federal law requires that we have your signature in order to release your transcript. No exceptions will be made.

All official transcripts are $10.00.

Student copies of transcripts are $5.00.
Current students are encouraged to print their transcript off via IQWeb.

Ordering Transcripts Online

Anderson University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the Web. You can order transcripts using any major credit card. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed.

• To order an official transcript(s), login to the Clearinghouse secure site.

• The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session. A processing fee will be charged per recipient.

• Order updates will be emailed to you. You can also track your order online.

or fax your request to (864) 231-2008. E-mail requests cannot be accepted. Transcripts are normally processed within two working days except during holidays or semester check-in periods. Please note that official transcript requests will not be processed if you have a financial or academic hold on your account.

Please include the following information on your written request:

  • Full name during attendance (please make certain maiden names are included if applicable)
  • Social Security number
  • Dates of attendance
  • Number of copies required
  • Address for mailing the transcript(s). You must supply the address in order to insure accuracy.
  • The signature of the person whose transcript is being requested
We accept cash, money orders made payable to Anderson University, or credit card payments. Payment must be included with your request or it will not be processed.

Student copies are not official and will not bear the seal or official signature of the college. Student copies must also be requested in writing.

Enrollment Verifications
Enrollment verifications can be obtained from Anderson Central. You may call (864)231-2070, come by the office or e-mail central@andersonuniversity.edu to request enrollment verification. Please supply us with student name, student ID number, semester(s) needed for verification and the address or fax number to which we should send the verification. If applicable, please also reference any policy information we may need to include as identification to your insurance company. We process these requests as quickly as possible, however we ask that you give us a 48-hour notice.

Updating Student Records
To update either your address, name, phone number or e-mail address on your student records, Anderson Central must receive the request in writing including the student's signature. You may come by Anderson Central and complete a brief form, mail the request to Anderson Central, Anderson University, 316 Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621, or fax your request to (864) 231-2008.  E-mails cannot be accepted.  Anderson Central is the official site for making these changes for the entire campus.  Please do not leave the request with any other office on campus.

Student Records Policy
Anderson University maintains appropriate educational records for each student and assures the confidentiality of such records consistent with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 and the guide developed by the Committee on Records Management and Transcripts Adequacy of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).

Student records are confidential and will be released to persons outside the college only on the written request of the student.

  • Directory Information
    Anderson University protects the privacy of its students in compliance with the aforementioned FERPA regulations. Items listed in “directory information” are generally considered open to public inquiry. The following are considered directory information:
  • Student Name
  • Address (including e-mail address)
  • Telephone number
  • Dates of Attendance
  • Full-time or part-time status of enrollment
  • Major and minor fields of study
  • Degrees received

Transferring to Anderson University
Anderson University accepts credit for transferable courses successfully completed (grade of C or higher) at a regionally accredited college or university.  All courses accepted for transfer will be entered on the academic transcript.  Transfer work will not be computed in the GPA.  A maximum of 64 semester hours will be accepted toward a bachelor's degree in transfer from an institution that awards only the associate degree.  It is the responsibility of the student to have all official transcripts sent to  Anderson University for evaluation.  Please click on the schools below to see a list of courses accepted in transfer from local institutions.

VA Benefits
 The VA Benefits Program is administered by the Registrar’s Office. Please come by the office, call us at (864)231-2120 or e-mail wfricks@andersonuniversity.edu with questions.  Click here to access information on how to begin the process of applying for benefits.  You may also access all necessary forms via the GI Bill website.  Please refer to this website with any questions about benefits. Students who receive VA benefits are subject to special rules with regard to academic probation and course withdrawal. These rules are imposed by the governmental agency.
