We are so glad that you will be continuing your education with us.  I’m sure you have a few questions as you begin your journey at AU and we are here to help!  You should find many of your answers right here on the Transfer Link page, but if you don’t, please feel free to contact us.

Orientation for Transfer Students

Students with 13 or fewer credit hours

If you are transferring 13 or less credit hours you are required to attend one of the traditional Base Camp sessions.  See below for more information. 

Students with more than 13 credit hours

If you are transferring more than 13 credit hours you may opt out of attending one of the Base Camp sessions.  However, all transfer students with more than 13 credit hours are required to attend the Transfer Orientation session August.  See below for more information. 

Base Camp

Base Camp is an overnight summer orientation program for all new students at Anderson University.  The program includes information to help you begin your journey at AU as well as opportunities to meet other new students. Please view the Student Schedule and Base Camp FAQ for more information.  Parents and family members are encouraged to attend Base Camp. We have a separate program designed to provide helpful information just for parents.  Please see the Parent Schedule for more information.  If you would like to attend a Base Camp session, Registration will be available after March 1st, 2013.

Transfer Orientation is a condensed version of the Base Camp summer session designed specifically with Transfer students in mind.  This exclusive session will give you all the information that you need to be a successful Anderson University student in a short amount of time.  You will also get the chance to meet other transfer students and current AU students who will help you get connected on campus. As an added bonus, if you are a residential student, you will be able to move into your residence hall on Friday, August 16 between 9am and 1pm.  Please go to the Residence Life Office when you arrive to check in and receive your keys.   Check back closer to August to see a draft of the schedule.

All new students (including transfer students) are required to pay a $100 orientation fee.  This fee covers the cost of both the Base Camp summer program and the Welcome Week fall orientation program.  The fee will be applied to your student account. 

All transfer students (more than 13 hours) are required to attend either the Fall Orientation or a Base Camp session, but you do not need to attend both!  Please take a minute to let us know which orientation session you will be attending by clicking the Register link and completing the registration form which will be available after March 1st.
