Anderson's 15-month-long, Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) trains adults 22 years or older who meet our 59 credits of eligible, college courses—or bachelor's degrees in fields other than nursing—to become registered nurses (RNs). It will prepare you to work in pediatric, surgical, adult, geriatric, and other fields of nursing. It also makes you eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), which you must pass to become an RN.
At the Open House, which runs from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the School of Nursing, you will receive an overview of our Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program as well as tours of our human dissection lab, simulation lab, and skills lab. You will have the opportunity to discuss admission requirements with our graduate nursing staff, the details of the program with our nursing Faculty, and the options for financial aid with a financial aid representative. Please allow 45-90 minutes for your visit during the Open House. We look forward to meeting you!
