“Faith & Culture” lecture series as well as Regional & International educational travel opportunities for Honors students
Because the Honors Program focuses heavily on how our students can articulate their Christian faith in our secular age, an annual lectureship on “Faith and Culture” by renowned speakers would help AU students to navigate the intersection of faith and culture. The Honors Program curriculum is both global and interdisciplinary, lending itself to various educational travel opportunities. Because the AU Abroad system only allows for trips that are open to all AU students and Honors courses are restricted to just Honors students, educational Honors trips are not funded. Providing this funding source would help off-set some of the expense for our Honors students to experience the intersection of faith and culture both regionally and internationally.
