Minor in Coding and App Development

AU’s new minor in Coding and App Development will teach students the principles of coding and app design and development using the Swift programming language and the Xcode software development tool. The minor, which is open to all students and majors, provides students with the knowledge and skills critical for jobs in software development and information technology.

The College of Arts and Sciences developed the minor with AU’s Center for Innovation and Digital Learning (CIDL) in collaboration with Apple. The minor covers the basics of coding, design, and product development. In the minor’s capstone experience, students work collaboratively to produce their own app that addresses a real-world need, challenge, or problem.

AU students interested in the minor should contact their advisor.
