Human Resources Graduate Certificate

Your next promotion may not be as out of reach as you think. Completing a graduate certificate at AU gives you the specialization in HR you need to strengthen your skillset and boost your career mobility.

Human Resources

This 12-credit program requires four courses you’ll complete online or in-person alongside MBA students.

All of these courses happen within the context of Anderson’s graduate business program, which U.S. News & World Report ranked first among South Carolina’s private institutions, and second among private and public schools.

Human Resources Management Courses

The following courses are required for the completion of this certificate program:

  • Strategic Human Resource Management to sharpen your understanding of how the decisions you make as an HR professional affect your company’s performance
  • Talent Management for learning the methodology and techniques you’ll need to attract and acquire the best candidates from your hiring pool
  • Compensation and Benefits analysis to help you understand what your competition offers and formulate your own strategy for employee pay and perks
  • Current Issues and Topics in Human Resource Management to help you understand and interpret the trending changes in the human resources field

Career Outlook

Your graduate certificate is one of the quickest ways to set yourself apart when it’s time to apply for a position requiring the expertise you learned in your program.  The quality of your faculty – C-level execs, for example – will prep you for a position or promotion in human resources where the national average pay is between $60,000 and $70,000 per year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
