2019 Spring Semester
For all new commuter students joining the AU community, welcome! To kick off the spring semester, we ask all new students to attend a two day Base Camp Orientation program on Tuesday, January 8 and Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Please check your AU email regularly for more information on these events. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact Student Involvement at 864-622-6011 or by email email@example.com.
2019 Fall Semester | New commuter student check-in
All first time AU students are required to attend a Base Camp Orientation session. If you have not attended an orientation date, please register today!
On Saturday, August 17, 2019 commuter students are required to formally check-in at the G. Ross Anderson Jr. Student Center at 4:30 pm. Immediately following check-in, commuter students should make plans to attend a meeting in the Student Center, which will provide the opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade from current commuter students, discover the services available at AU, and meet fellow classmates. Students who attend this session will receive a free meal ticket for dinner in our Student Center Dining Commons. After dinner, commuter students will meet their First Year Experience (FYE) group and then attend the Big Welcome Event starting. As always, if you have questions, please contact Student Involvement at 864-622-6011 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
"You will not regret spending a little extra time on campus! The new Student Center has plenty of hang out space and fun activities to partake in! Also in the new student center is the brand new dinning commons with multiple types of food to choose from including Chick-fil-a. And, don't worry about not having money for food! AU has a meal plan just for commuter students that is affordable and provides more than enough meals per week! I hope y'all will have a great first semester commuting and I pray you see AU as a home away from in the years to come." - Garrett Armstrong, Worship Ministry major, commuter student
