Fall New Student Move-in | August 17, 2019

If you attended a May, June, or July Base Camp Orientation, please make plans for new student move-in on Saturday, August 17, 2019. Students will be asked to check-in during their designated time based on their housing assignment:

      8:30 am - 10:30 am
  • Ground or lower level rooms
  • 100 level rooms (first floor, excluding Village)
  • 300 level rooms (third floor, excluding Village)
  • All Stringer and Townhome residents
    11:00 am - 1:00 pm
  • 200 level rooms (second floor)
  • Village Upper Floors (first-third floors)

Download the Move In Day Vehicle Tag.
Please hang a tag in any vehicles you bring for Move-In Day. This tag will help our staff to make sure you are heading in the right location to unload.

  • We recommend printing on card stock as it will hang a bit more easily.
  • Write with a marker so that it is easy to read from a distance.
  • No stress if you forget your tags! We'll have them for you upon your arrival on campus.
  • If your Trojan Trek status shows that all items are complete, you may go directly to your residence hall when you arrive on Saturday, August 17.  If you have incomplete items within your Trojan Trek, you will need to report to the Student Center first to complete all necessary steps.

  • Please put your name and room number on all your bags and boxes (masking tape and permanent marker works great!).  This will help ensure that our Move-in Crew gets all of your belongings to the correct room.  Make sure that all of your things are in a bag or a box - loose items can easily get lost and are more difficult to carry.

  • We encourage you to only bring essentials. If needed, you can always bring additional items when you go home for a break.  If you haven’t already, start a packing list or use our recommended packing list.

Are you a Commuter?

You may not be moving to campus, but you’re crucial to life here at AU, and we have lots of opportunities for you to get plugged into the community. Fall Welcome Week is a big part of this process, and the week's events are essential to your success at AU. Commuter students are asked to check in at the Student Center on the afternoon of Saturday, August 17 for a session made just for you! Be sure to keep an eye on your AU email account for more information on Commuter Check-in.
