Fall New Student Move-in | August 18, 2018
If you attended a May, June, or July Base Camp Orientation, please make plans for new student move-in on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Students will be asked to check-in during their designated time based on their housing assignment:
Ground or lower level rooms
100 level rooms (first floor, excluding Village)
300 level rooms (third floor, excluding Village)
All Stringer and Townhome residents
200 level rooms (second floor)
Village Upper Floors (first-third floors)
Review the Move in Day Map so you know where to go when you arrive.
Remember to put your name and room number on all your bags and boxes (masking tape and permanent marker works great!). This will help to ensure that our Move-in Crew gets all of your things to the right room. Make sure that all of your things are in a bag or a box. Loose items can easily get lost and are harder to carry.
We encourage you to pack light and only bring the essentials. You can always bring additional items when you go home for a break. If you haven’t already, start a packing list or use our recommended list on the Housing section of the AU website.
Be sure to check your Trojan Trek status before you arrive to make sure you have completed all the necessary steps. If you have any steps that are marked incomplete, please contact the office listed by that step to complete the task. Please note that you will not be able to move into your room if your Account Balance, Financial Services, or Health Services steps are incomplete.
If your Trojan Trek status shows that all items are complete, you may go directly to your residence hall when you arrive. If you have incomplete items, please go to the Student Center first, to take care of your incomplete items.
Are you a Commuter?
You may not be moving to campus, but you’re crucial to life here at AU, and we have lots of opportunities for you to get plugged into the community. Fall Welcome Week is a big part of this process, and the week's events are essential to your success at AU. Commuter students are asked to check in at the Student Center on the afternoon of Saturday, August 18 for a session made just for you! Be sure to keep an eye on your AU email account for more information on Commuter Check-in.
Base Camp New Student Orientation & Move-in | August 17, 2018
