Cybersecurity Faculty

Anderson University invites applications for a full-time faculty member with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning in the area of Cybersecurity. The position is full-time, nine-month and the start date is negotiable. Faculty rank and status will be determined at the time of appointment based upon the degrees, experience, and record of scholarship. Primary Purpose

This newly created position is the result of the development of a new Cybersecurity curriculum as part of Anderson’s commitment to relevant and innovative academic programming. Anderson University’s cybersecurity curriculum will consist of a non-technical core and include areas of study such as cyber threats; cybersecurity planning and management; policy, legal, ethics, and compliance; security program management; and security risk analysis.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain a teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year. Cybersecurity courses may be taught online, on the main campus, or at the University Center of Greenville.
  • Engage in partnerships with industry
  • Participate in professional societies and ongoing research in the discipline
  • Support student activities related to cybersecurity (including clubs and competitions)

Essential Knowledge and Skills

An earned doctorate in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution is preferred; an ABD or master’s degree may be considered. Academic scholarship and/or professional achievement specifically in the area of cybersecurity is required.
