Computer Lab Hours

Anderson University offers several computer labs across campus and numerous workstations are available in the library. The Bunton Computer Lab in the Thrift Library (which opened January 2007) has 35 workstations and two scanners available for students during extensive hours weekly. The Watlab is a general student-use lab with 20 workstations. The CISlab (31 workstations) and Vanlab (29 workstations) are computer lab classrooms, which are available to students at times when classes are not in progress. Each of these labs has a laser printer.

There are several specialized computer labs on campus. The math lab and the CADlab have several workstations each, with the latter being equipped with a 36" plotter/printer. The journalism lab and one graphics design lab are equipped with Macs. The newest graphics design lab has a mix of PCs and Macs. The graphics design labs share specialized printers.

The Tutoring Center has two workstations. In addition, the McClellion Cafe in the Thrift Library has three Internet workstations.

Food and Drinks are prohibited in all labs, at all times.

Don't save work to the C:\ drives in any lab. When the computer is turned off, your work will be gone. Set up a file on the T:\ drive and save your work temporarily. Make sure you get a fresh start by rebooting your computer. It will save you a lot of time and trouble!

Print what you need, but in the case of Power Point slides that have been placed on the T:\ drive for your convenience and classroom support, please print them out in OUTLINE VIEW. A 45 page Power Point presentation will be taken down to 4 pages with this simple step. The quantity of paper and ink cartridges saved, not to mention the time spent waiting on these presentations to print out, would really surprise you.

If the printer runs out of ink, doesn't print correctly, or if you have computer problems, please contact the IT Help Desk at 231-2457 or at help@andersonuniversity.edu.
