Anderson University School of Interior Design has a long history of award winning students for design excellence with student design competitions.
These competitions include: the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC), American Society of Interior Design (ASID), the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and Eaton Source Lighting Design Competition.
At the March Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) conference, seniors in the Anderson University School of Interior Design were recognized as recipients of Third, Regional and Honorable Mention in the South Region student design competition. IDEC is the professional organization for interior design educators whose mission is the advancement of interior design education, scholarship and service.
Since 2015, with the IDEC competition, Anderson Interior Design Students have been regional finalist multiple years and in 2020 the School of Interior Design ranked third nationally.
For the 2022 design submissions, Professor David Greer was professor of record for the following award winning students receiving Third Place in the South Region: Raquel Albury, Gabrielle McKillop and Peyton Nease. Receiving honorary mention in the South Region were Vienna DeFalco, Porter Rivers and Mabry Smith.
Anderson University Interior Design graduates can be found working in major markets including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta and Charlotte, as well as internationally. Students also become actively involved in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and many compete in national and regional design competitions. Several graduates have furthered their studies in graduate programs.
The Anderson University School of Interior Design is one of only nine such programs to be offered in a Christian institution of higher learning and has graduates working as professional interior designers across the nation and internationally.
