What classes do you teach at Anderson
Adult Health (class and clinical)
What year did you start teaching at AU
Why teach at AU?
I enjoy being with the students and having an opportunity to be a positive influence in their lives. God commands us to love one another, and what better way to show love for one another than to care for someone when they are sick? I strive to let God’s love show through me as I teach and instruct at the clinical bedside.
Reading, outdoors, raising rabbits, spending time with family
How would you describe your classes to someone who has never attended one?
Adult Health class and clinical are very rigorous classes where you are learning about disorders of all body systems, and how to treat them.
Cynthia says nursing is a difficult discipline that requires emotional stability. “We as nurses deal with life and death on a daily basis, and have to be that shoulder for the family to cry on, be mad at, and still show our support for them. This is a piece of my discipline that does not often get conveyed to the prospective student. Nursing is not for the faint at heart.”
