The senior Nursing students, as part of their Community Health Experience, participated in the annual Homeless for the Homeless event to benefit Family Promise of Anderson. The students built their overnight shelter out of cardboard boxes and plastic tarps, then played a realistic Game of Life.
Nursing student Lucilla Cooper made such an impression during summer work at Patrick B. Harris hospital that staff there gave her a special achievement award of excellence and honorary membership in the nursing sorority. Hospital staff surprised her in class to show their appreciation.
