These are the people who are here to help you in the David Larson McPhillips Center for Student Success:
Dianne King, Ph.D.
Dean of Student Success
Dr. King came to Anderson University in 2008, following service at a number of colleges and universities across the south that “share the same DNA” as Anderson. She grew up in the small town of Bremen, GA, which was once home to so many men’s clothing manufacturers that it was known as “the Clothing Center of the South.”
Genia Berndt, M.Ed.
Asst. Director of Accessibility Services
Ms. Berndt joined the CSS staff in 2014 after a long career in public education and a short time working at Tri-County Technical College. A native of Belton, SC, Ms. Berndt worked in both elementary and high schools, including T. L. Hanna, primarily as a guidance counselor, before coming to AU.
Ms. MacLennan grew up in Anderson, and after receiving her bachelor’s degree in psychology, lived and worked in Charleston for a number of years before moving back home. A stay-at-home mom initially, she worked in title search before coming to AU in 2008, first in adult studies, and joined the CSS staff several years later.
